Luke received his Honours BA from York University and subsequently graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1987. Following his call to the Bar, he practised in the area of insurance and personal injury law at a Toronto firm.
In 1998, Luke joined Malach + Fidler as a partner. He continues to practise exclusively in the field of personal injury and insurance litigation representing both insurers and plaintiffs. His insurance practice focuses on defence of personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, defence of claims brought against large non-profit housing corporations and defence of occupier's liability claims brought against property owners. He also provides insurance coverage opinions to insurers.
Luke has considerable experience resolving claims on behalf of both insurers and plaintiffs utilizing the mediation process. He has also appeared as counsel at all levels of the Ontario court system and at various tribunal hearings.
Luke is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Medico-Legal Society of Metropolitan Toronto.
